Job Title
Yard Store person
Reporting To
Operations Manager
Role Purpose
To support the efficient day-to-day running of the yard by maintaining organisation, managing equipment and stock, and assisting with logistics and basic maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Report directly to the Operations Manager on all yard activities and requirements Maintain a clean, organised, and safe yard environment at all times Arrange, store, and manage equipment, with particular attention to UV lining equipment Prepare equipment and materials for upcoming jobs and site requirements Carry out deliveries to site as required Collect plant, tools, and equipment from suppliers and providers Assist with loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently Perform basic maintenance on small generators, pumps, and similar equipment Keep accurate stock records, including tracking incoming and outgoing items Maintain maintenance logs and service records for equipment Identify damaged or faulty equipment and report issues promptly Support general yard operations and assist other team members when needed

Essential
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or similar environment (preferred but not essential) Full UK Driving License Good organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Practical, hands-on approach to work Basic understanding of tools and equipment

Desirable
Forklift licence (training can be provided) Lorry/HGV driving licence (advantageous but not essential) Experience with plant, generators, pumps, or similar equipment Basic mechanical or maintenance knowledge

Training & Development
