Job Description:

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy construction yard. This is a hands-on role that combines supervision with practical duties, ensuring the efficient management of plant, equipment, materials, and logistics to support multiple live construction projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to secure a long-term position, with the role initially offered on a temporary basis before moving to a permanent contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of the construction yard, ensuring a safe, organised, and efficient working environment.
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of plant, equipment, materials, and tools to and from site.
  • Manage yard operatives and allocate daily workloads.
  • Maintain stock levels and carry out regular inventory checks.
  • Coordinate deliveries, collections, and transport logistics with site teams and suppliers.
  • Ensure the yard operates in accordance with company health and safety procedures.
  • Complete daily records, inspections, and relevant documentation.
  • Liaise with project teams to ensure materials and equipment are available to meet project programmes.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the yard.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
