We’re looking for a hands on and supportive Yard Team Leader to join our team. This is a key leadership role where you’ll help ensure the yard runs safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard, while supporting and developing your team to deliver great service every day.

About The Role
- Contract: Permanent
- Hours: Full-time
- Hours of Work: 37.5 Hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days
As Yard Team Leader, you’ll work closely with the Yard Manager and wider store team to support the day to day running of the yard. You’ll be a visible and approachable leader, helping to maintain excellent standards of safety, organisation and customer service, while creating a positive and inclusive team environment.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Supporting the daily operation of the yard, ensuring high standards of safety, organisation and presentation
- Leading by example to deliver excellent customer service and encourage proactive customer engagement
- Supporting, coaching and developing yard colleagues to build confidence and capability in their roles
- Ensuring company procedures are followed, including health & safety, fire safety and first aid requirements
- Completing daily, weekly and monthly operational checks accurately and on time
- Maintaining strong yard standards to support safe working practices for colleagues and customers
- Promoting product knowledge and supporting sales through great service and teamwork
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the site to achieve KPIs and share successes

About You
- Experience leading or supporting a team in a yard, retail or operational environment
- A strong awareness of health & safety and safe systems of work
- Confident, approachable and able to communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
- A positive, calm and supportive leadership style
- Well organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and adapt to changing demands
- A proactive, flexible and solution focused mindset
- Committed to teamwork, inclusion and continuous improvement
