MKM Industry Warehouse Assistant – External Team
(Apprenticeship Opportunity)

In this role, you’ll be part of our external team, working hands-on in our warehouses and delivery operations.
About the Role
You will be a key member of our warehouse and transport teams, supporting our customers and ensuring smooth operations daily.
Responsibilities

Customer Assistance:
- Provide excellent customer service—communicating clearly and professionally
- Process and check orders efficiently

Warehouse & Stock Management:
- Pick, load, and unload pallets/vehicles safely
- Store stock securely to prevent damage
- Maintains a tidy, safe, and organised working environment at all times
- Handle incoming goods and ensure they’re processed correctly
- Help reorganise the warehouse as needed

Operational Duties:
- Assisting with vehicle checks to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements
An Apprenticeship is available for this role, with appropriate training provided in house if you don’t have formal qualifcations already.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Counterbalance forklift licence (essential)
- Previous warehouse/customer-facing experience (would be preferred but are open to training eligible candidates if you demonstrate the right attitude)
This is an entry-level opportunity, where work ethic and team attitude are just as important as any prior experience.
Must Have:
- A positive attitude and eager approach to learning
- Good work ethic—you will be delivering for multiple people day-to-day!
- Hardworking—you must be comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail—whether it’s picking orders, completing safety checks or maintaining records.
- Team player mindset—we thrive on our warehouse team environment
Useful-but-not-essential
- Previous experience in retail/manufacturing or the construction market
- Being comfortable with manual lifting/pushing over a five-day period
- Some NHS Disc Driver Card preference
