Yard / Warehouse Operative

Warehouse Assistant – Yard/External Team Member

About the Role

In this role, you will be part of our external team, working directly with customers in a dynamic warehouse environment.


Responsibilities

  • Assisting customers
  • Providing excellent customer service on a daily basis
  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Picking and checking orders for accuracy
  • Storing stock safely and efficiently
  • Maintaining a tidy, safe, and well-organised working environment
  • Handling and processing goods received
  • Assist with warehouse organisation and stock rotation

Requirements & Essential Qualities

Skills & Certificates (Preferred but Not Essential)

  • Counterbalance Forklift Licence (valued but not mandatory)
  • Useful building/warehouse industry knowledge

Personality & Work Ethic

We are looking for individuals with:

  • The ability to present a likeable and professional demeanour when dealing with customers and colleagues
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • strong work ethic, reliability, and problem-solving abilities
  • A positive attitude to adapt to varying workloads
  • Keen attention to detail when working with orders and stock

You will be working in a fast-paced, team-based environment with customers on a daily basis, so these qualities are essential.


Working Conditions

  • Will involve working on alternate Saturday mornings
