Year 1 Teacher – Maternity Cover
Full Time Location: Gravesend, Kent Dates: October 2026 – July 2027
We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and highly motivated Year 1 Teacher to join our supportive school community on a maternity cover contract (1st October 2026 – July 2027).
This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a passionate educator to nurture curiosity, build confidence, and foster a love of learning in our pupils during their formative Year 1.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to inspire and challenge all learners
- Demonstrate a strong grasp of the KS1 curriculum and early years development
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes pupil progress
- Be fully committed to ensuring every child achieves their full potential
- Collaborate effectively with the wider school staff
