Year 2 Teacher
Location: Camden
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Permanent
Salary: MPS1 - MPS6 (Inner London)
A friendly and high-achieving primary school in Camden is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 1 teacher to join a supportive school with a strong focus on delivering outstanding teaching and learning. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing pupils for the end of Key Stage 1, helping them develop the confidence and skills needed for a successful transition into Key Stage 2.
The Successful Candidate Will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in a Year 2 class
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and end of Key Stage 1 expectations
- Be confident using assessment to monitor progress and support pupil attainment
- Deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons that inspire a love of learning
- Have high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and pupil progress
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Be committed to contributing to the wider school community

The Role Will Involve
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Preparing pupils for the end of Key Stage 1 assessments while maintaining a broad and engaging curriculum
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress to ensure every child reaches their potential
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with the Key Stage 1 team and senior leaders to maintain high standards across the school
