A welcoming and community-focused infant school in Barking and Dagenham is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join the team from September on a 1-year contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for a committed Year 2 Teacher to join a supportive school environment where early reading and child development are highly valued. Rated Good by OFSTED in 2025, the school has built a strong reputation within the local community for delivering high-quality education and nurturing positive outcomes for all pupils.
The school follows the Little Wandle phonics programme, with 87% of pupils achieving the expected standard in phonics. The appointed Year 2 Teacher will therefore benefit from strong curriculum structures, excellent support and collaborative planning across the phase.

Key Responsibilities
The school is looking for a Year 2 Teacher who will:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across the KS1 curriculum
- Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
- Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform planning
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
- Contribute positively to the wider school community
This Year 2 Teacher role is suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs looking to develop within a supportive setting.
