Year 4 Teacher – Gateshead

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Gateshead. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and helping pupils develop the confidence, knowledge, and skills needed to achieve their full potential.

The school is a well-established primary setting with a strong commitment to providing a caring, inclusive, and engaging education for all pupils. Serving its local community, the school places great importance on positive relationships, high expectations, and creating an environment where children feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn. Staff work collaboratively to provide a broad and stimulating curriculum while supporting pupils' academic, social, and personal development.

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will take responsibility for planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will work closely with colleagues and support staff to create a positive classroom environment where pupils are encouraged to develop independence, resilience, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons across the Year 4 curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, using assessment effectively to inform planning and raise attainment.
  • Differentiate teaching and learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and additional needs.
  • Maintain high expectations of pupil behaviour, engagement, and achievement.
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues to provide high-quality learning experiences.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and the wider school community.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
