Year 6 Teacher QTS Required Location: Gravesend, Kent Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term Start Date: September 2026 End Date: December 2026 Potential for Permanent Position from January 2027

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Gravesend, Kent from September 2026. This is a full-time teaching position covering a Year 6 class until December 2026, with the opportunity for the successful candidate to secure a permanent role from January 2027.

The Role

  • Full-time Year 6 class teacher.
  • Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school and supporting them throughout their final year of primary education.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and school leaders to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
  • Has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Is committed to raising standards and achieving positive outcomes for pupils.
  • Possesses excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Is passionate about inspiring and motivating young learners.
