Year 6 Class Teacher Opportunity in Hatfield

Role: Year 6 Teacher
Location: Hatfield
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Two Term

About the Role:
Academics is actively recruiting for an ambitious and dedicated teacher for a two term contract at a two-form entry school on the borders of Hatfield. The school is currently rated as good by OFSTED.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach a mixed class of pupils with various levels of abilities, ensuring each pupil reaches their full potential.
  • Demonstrate a great understanding of the UK National Curriculum and other statutory requirements.
  • Cope securely with subject-related questions which pupils raise.
  • Identify clear teaching objectives, content, lesson structures, and sequences appropriate to the subject matter.
  • Set appropriate expectations for pupils' learning and motivation.
  • Ensure effective teaching of whole classes, groups, and individuals.
  • Use teaching methods which keep pupils engaged.
  • Set high expectations for pupils' behaviour, establishing and maintaining a good standard of discipline.
