The opportunity

London College of Communication is seeking an experienced, innovative educator to join BA (Hons) Animation as Year 1 Leader. This is a key role in shaping the student experience within one of the UK’s leading creative institutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide academic leadership for first-year undergraduate students
  • Offer pastoral support, including oversight of attendance and progression
  • Work with the Course Leader and team to support teaching and curriculum development
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the course
  • Help create an engaging, inclusive learning environment grounded in contemporary animation practice

You will teach across the course, supporting students in developing creative, critical, and technical skills in character animation, experimental animation, and expanded practices. You will also lead curriculum innovation, challenging traditional canons while embedding diversity, inclusion, and global perspectives. In addition, you will manage staff teaching into Year 1, contribute to quality enhancement, support recruitment and course development, and engage in scholarly activity and professional practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
