Young Adult's Resilience Worker

Young Adult Resilience Worker

Where: Nottingham Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week Contract Type: Fixed Term until the 31st of September 2028

Overview

Are you passionate about supporting young adults to overcome challenges and build resilient, independent futures? Do you want to play a key role in connecting education settings with vital support services across Nottingham City? Change Grow Live is committed to empowering individuals to make positive changes. We provide a safe, respectful environment shaped by our core values: Open, Bold and Compassionate. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Young Adult Resilience Worker to join our Nottingham service, with a dedicated focus on colleges and universities. This is a unique opportunity to combine direct frontline support with a strategic outreach and engagement role, working with young adults aged 18–25 experiencing substance use and related vulnerabilities. You will help shape pathways, improve early access to support, and strengthen partnerships across Nottinghamshire's Further and Higher Education provisions.

About the role:

  • Engage young adults in structured, meaningful interventions to support behaviour change and resilience
  • Deliver assessments, care planning, and a range of interventions including 1:1, group work, and harm reduction
  • Support young adults through their journey, addressing substance use and wider needs (e.g. housing, mental health, employment)
  • Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns effectively
  • Work closely with partner agencies to provide holistic, joined-up support
  • Contribute to co-production and service development initiatives for young adults.

College & University Link responsibilities:

  • Act as a named link worker for colleges and universities, providing a consistent and visible point of contact.
  • Deliver outreach and interventions within education settings, improving access and early engagement.
  • Develop and strengthen referral pathways between education providers and the service.
  • Support staff in colleges and universities to identify need and make appropriate referrals.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and training to education professionals on substance use, risk, and engagement approaches.
  • Build strong relationships with safeguarding leads, wellbeing teams, and student services
  • Contribute to prevention initiatives, awareness campaigns, and early help approaches across education settings.
  • Identify emerging needs, trends, and gaps in provision to inform service development

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
