Handshake Platform for University of Liverpool Students
Handshake is a dedicated platform for University of Liverpool students to help you find the jobs that you're looking for both during and after your studies. Accessing Handshake as a Current Student
Every University of Liverpool student has access to a Handshake account. We’ve taken care of creating an account for you, no need to register. You just need to activate this to begin!
You Must Activate Your Account
You must activate your account to access your information on Handshake and to update your profile.

To Access:
- Visit https://liverpool.joinhandshake.com/
- Select the blue icon for ‘LivUni Student? Register/Log In Here’
- Enter your University of Liverpool (MWS) details as follows on the following screen:
- Your MWS username followed by @liverpool.ac.uk
- Your MWS password
- You will then need to authenticate your login through Duo 2FA on your phone for added security. See here for further details.
Accessing Handshake as a Graduate
All graduates can continue to access Handshake after leaving University of Liverpool. You will access through your personal email address rather than your UoL details.
To Access:
- Visit https://liverpool.joinhandshake.com/
- Select the option to ‘Sign in with your email address’
- Enter your personal email address (not ac.uk)
- If your email address is already against your record, choose a password and begin to access.
- If your email address is not against your record, please complete the registration process supplying the details requested and we will activate your account within 48 hours
