About The Role
You’ll support the Community Investment Team to work alongside the designated Youth Opportunities Coordinator to deliver high-quality youth and play provision for children aged 5-14 years, ensuring activities are youth-led, inclusive, and responsive to local need. Within the role you will be involved in the design, coordination and delivery of youth activities ensuring that you promote positive relationships, build confidence, and make young people feel safe, heard, and supported within One Manchester communities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Plan and deliver inclusive, engaging, and educational youth activities for young people in One Manchester communities.
- Support the delivery and promotion of youth events, activities, and community programmes with partner organisations.
- Engage and consult with young people, ensuring their views help shape services.
- Provide administrative support, maintain attendance records, and assist with monitoring, reporting, and performance analysis.
- Build positive relationships with young people and parents, signposting them to relevant One Manchester services.
- Support safeguarding, wellbeing, and ED&I commitments, ensuring all young people, including those with SEN and additional needs, can participate fully.
- Contribute to community investment initiatives and work across Manchester, including evenings and weekends.

What We’re Looking For
We’re after someone who has:
- Experience working with young people in a youth work, community, or engagement role (or willingness to complete a Level 2 Youth Work qualification).
- Experience delivering group activities, events, and sessions that engage young people and adults.
- Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills (including Microsoft Office).
- Ability to motivate and influence others, work collaboratively, and contribute ideas.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and experience with monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
- Resilient, adaptable, creative, and committed to inclusion and community impact.
- Experience working with schools or community organisations is desirable.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
