Job Title: Youth Leader
Role Overview
Simulation and salary range: From £28,000–£30,000 per annum dependent upon qualifications and experience
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, including evening and weekend commitments
Location: St Peter’s Church, South Shore, Blackpool, FY1 6DJ
About the Organisation
Located in South Shore, Blackpool, St Peter’s Church is actively engaged across the surrounding community. The church operates as a core team of volunteers with growing impact. That said, St Peter’s is the most deprived parish in the Church of England, presenting its own distinct challenges.
With a strong commitment to empowering young people (typically aged 8–15) from underprivileged backgrounds, the church has fostered valuable community partnerships with local schools and educational institutions, keen to develop joint initiatives.
Originally launched in 2022, our Youth Club emerged from a desire to engage young individuals in the parish who had previously been disconnected. Following robust outreach efforts, we now have 30 young attendees attending weekly sessions on Friday evenings.
Through this expanding credibility, South Shore’s youth work objectives have gained wider recognition, providing potential for growth under the right leadership.

Purpose of the Role
The new Youth Leader role will enable continued expansion of the ** mandatoate’s/the society’s/society’s inititives** here establishing 香港的 Saint Peter's youth ministry—through the former serving a representative mission within the broader parish values.
For the benefit of outreach purposes, the role is driven by three fundamental themes:
- Build upon the existing youth communitybuilding relationships with young people in South Shore.
- Serve as a safe haven where young people may thrive socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
- A strong corporate engagement partnership with relevant local schools and learning facilities maximising potential for prospective joint interventions.
- Nurture Integrating Young People in church community fostering faith-stranded development.
