Youth Practitioner – Supporting Young People to Thrive
Do you have a passion for supporting young people to achieve the best possible outcomes in life? Are you ready to make a real difference by helping prevent care escalation, placement breakdowns, or facilitating placement step-downs?

About the Role
As part of a dynamic team, you’ll provide direct care within:
- Residential settings
- Community-based interventions
For young people:
- On the edge of care
- In foster placements
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Building strong, relationships with young people and families
- Delivering personalised support tailored to individual needs
- Fostering life skills that enable young people to thrive independently

- Level 3 Diploma in Childcare (or equivalent)
- Level 4 Therapeutic Certificate in Childcare

What We’re Looking For
You must be:
- Resilient, empathetic, and skilled at forming meaningful connections
- Adept at proactive, solution-focused interventions, while celebrating individuality & diversity
- Flexible to cover:
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Sleep-in duties (ensuring consistent support for young people)
Essential Requirements
- Hold (or be committed to gaining) a QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous professional development
