Salary: £26,225 - £33,066 per annum | Hours: 37 hours per week | Position: Permanent, Full time | Location: Preston & South Ribble District

About the Team
The Targeted Youth Support team, part of Lancashire County Council's, Children and Family Wellbeing Service, is looking to recruit 1 full-time, 37-hour, permanent Youth Support Worker for the Preston & South Ribble District. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organized, and passionate about making a difference and changing young people’s lives.
About the Service
The service is a key contributor to the prevention and early intervention/early help agenda for Lancashire County Council. It enables young people to succeed by providing high-quality informal education opportunities to promote their personal and social development. It supports young people who are challenged in education, their communities, or home life to ensure a successful transition to adulthood.
About the Role
The TYS team is the biggest employer in the UK of JNC qualified youth workers and we are immensely proud of this. We follow the Pink Book terms and conditions, with more leave due to the unsocial hours we can work. You will also be on a Teachers Pension if you so desire.

Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery of youth work opportunities
- Work closely with other youth work staff and volunteers
- Design and develop youth work responses underpinned by the 4 cornerstones of youth work: equality, participation, education, and empowerment
- Deliver face-to-face work, including trips, activity days, and residentials
Qualifications and Requirements
- Access to a vehicle is essential
- Required to undertake a level 3 youth work qualification, supported by Lancashire County Council if necessary
