About I Have a Voice (IHAV)

IHAV works to empower young people, particularly those from under-represented groups, to engage with politics through education.

Our vision is:

  • A future where young people, from all backgrounds, engage with politics and go on to become active citizens.
  • A future where politics is representative of the UK's population, with proportionate representation from all segments of the population.
  • A future where there is space for all voices to be heard and debated with compassion and respect.

IHAV is working to ensure that every young person has the knowledge, confidence and opportunity to participate in democracy. Through our Politics For All Campaign, we advocate for every young person to receive high-quality political education and have the opportunity to meet an elected representative before leaving school.

A key part of our work is our growing network of Democracy Ambassadors - young peer educators who deliver projects, workshops and activities in schools, helping other young people understand democracy, politics and how to make their voices heard.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Youth Worker

to support and empower young people across the UK, helping our Democracy Ambassadors thrive and ensuring young people's voices are at the heart of everything we do.

The Role

As an IHAV Youth Worker, you will:

  • Build positive relationships with young people
  • Support the development of our Democracy Ambassador programme
  • Help deliver initiatives that increase democratic engagement among young people

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
