Who We Are
Four years ago, Dragonfruit set out to bring together some of the most talented visual storytellers, viral video strategists, and big-name clients to change the way we create and consume on YouTube.
The result has been bigger than we could have imagined, generating over one billion organic views and hundreds of millions of subscribers for creators like MrBeast, Ali Abdaal, Chris Williamson, Codie Sanchez, Neil Patel, and organizations including Y Combinator, e.l.f. Beauty, WHOOP, ClickUp, and the Center for Humane Technology.
Unlike other social media agencies or YouTube businesses, Dragonfruit refuses to celebrate a “creator economy” that trades viewers’ time and attention for rapid-fire dopamine entertainment. Instead, we aim to lead a global movement to make YouTube a more valuable and educational place—where views and subscribers are a means, not the goal; where viral-educational channels increase awareness, trust, and long-term impact while creating genuine value in viewers’ lives.
Dragonfruit's Mission
Dragonfruit exists to help the world’s most important ideas travel farther. We partner with experts, educators, scientists, founders, and creators to turn deep knowledge into media people actually want to watch, share, and act on. In a world where attention is often optimized for noise, we’re building a company that rewards clarity, substance, and human impact—combining creative judgment, production craft, and AI-powered systems to help better information reach more people. Our mission is to build the creative infrastructure for a healthier, more thoughtful internet.
The Role
As Dragonfruit’s YouTube Copywriter, you’ll operate at the intersection of editorial storytelling and direct-response persuasion—crafting scripts that don’t just entertain, but move people to think, feel, and act.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
This role blends the mindset of a VSL copywriter and funnel copywriter with deep YouTube-native storytelling. You’ll write long-form and short-form scripts that function like living sales pages—built on clarity, structure, and emotional momentum—while still feeling human, credible, and editorial-first.
You’ll define and execute the editorial vision across multiple creative pods, collaborating with YouTube Producers, Creative Directors, Post-Production Managers, and Editors to deliver scripts that maximize retention, conversions, and long-term audience trust.
Day-to-day, you’ll own script development across our client roster—getting first look at raw ideas from elite athletes, world-class creators, and $100M+ founders—and transforming those ideas into high-performing videos. You’ll use direct-response frameworks, psychological storytelling, and platform-specific insights to write scripts that hook fast, sustain attention, and compound impact.
This is a role for writers who understand that modern YouTube rewards response marketers and behavioral copywriters—those who know how to structure ideas around curiosity, tension, payoff, and belief change—without sacrificing substance or integrity.
What You’ll Do
- Write world-class YouTube scripts using hooks, narrative arcs, and persuasion principles optimized for retention and clarity
- Apply direct-response thinking to educational content—structuring ideas for momentum, comprehension, and action
- Translate complex ideas into compelling, watchable stories that drive trust and measurable outcomes
- Collaborate closely with editors to ensure the final cut adheres to your narrative and persuasive intent
- Ruthlessly edit for clarity, pacing, and emotional resonance—cutting anything that doesn’t serve the viewer
