About the role
We are looking for a full-time YouTube Thumbnail Strategist and Designer to join the long-form content team working across Shan Hanif and Jun Yuh's personal brands and the Creator Unplugged podcast.
This is not just a thumbnail design role. We need someone who deeply understands the strategy element of YouTube thumbnails. You will be responsible for every thumbnail that goes out across our channels, whether that is executing on a brief or coming to the table with your own concepts. You will work under the content strategists but you are expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, a strong creative instinct, and a deep understanding of what makes someone click.
If you understand the principle behind why a thumbnail gets clicked, this role is for you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you will own
Thumbnail Design and Production

- Stay ahead of trends across YouTube packaging and apply viral-first principles to every design.
- Present creative concepts clearly with rationale, especially where you believe an idea will outperform a brief.

- Join daily team standups and content strategy meetings as required.
- Manage your own workflow and deadlines, flagging capacity issues early.
