Role Description

The YT and Social Media role is a full-time remote position responsible for managing and growing Debt & Dominion’s presence across YouTube and social media platforms. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Planning and publishing content
  • Drafting compelling post copy
  • Optimizing video titles and descriptions
  • Coordinating thumbnails and visuals
  • Scheduling posts
  • Monitoring performance metrics
  • Adjusting content strategies based on analytics and audience feedback

The individual will collaborate with editors and contributors to translate written pieces into engaging video and social formats, maintain a consistent brand voice, and support campaign planning for special series, events, and announcements. This position requires proactive communication, independent time management, and a strong interest in economics, diplomacy, and global governance topics.

Qualifications

  • Social Media Marketing and Social Media Content Creation: Skills to plan, produce, and publish engaging posts and video content.
  • Digital Marketing and Marketing: Skills to develop strategies that increase reach, engagement, and audience growth across platforms.
  • Communication: Skills to collaborate with a distributed team and adapt complex ideas into clear, accessible content.
  • YouTube Channel Management: Familiarity with uploading, metadata optimization, playlists, thumbnails, and major social platforms (e.g., Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok) is beneficial.
  • Analytics Interpretation: Ability to interpret analytics (e.g., watch time, click-through rates, engagement metrics) and translate insights into actionable content improvements is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with basic video editing tools, graphic design or thumbnail creation, and content scheduling software (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, native schedulers) is advantageous.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, reliability in a remote setting, and an interest in global affairs, economics, and diplomacy are highly valued.
