Area Support Officer
Area Support Officer – Multi-site Security Role (Grimsby & Area)
About The Role
This is a mobile, multi-site role, requiring flexibility in shift patterns to support operational needs across Grimsby and surrounding sites.
We are seeking a professional, reliable, and highly adaptable Area Support Officer to provide flexible security cover at multiple client locations. The successful candidate will:
- Quickly adapt to different environments while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and security vigilance.
- Ensure the protection of people, property, and assets while delivering a first-class security service.
- Operate across designated sites with flexibility to cover annual leave, sickness absence, and staffing shortfalls.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will include, but is not limited to:
- Providing professional security cover at multiple client sites with a consistent high standard of service.
- Conducting regular patrols and inspections, aligned with assignment instructions and site-specific procedures.
- Monitoring premises visually and via CCTV, responding to alarms, incidents, and security alerts in a timely manner.
- Ensuring safety and security of people, property, assets, and premises at all times.
- Maintaining accurate records, including:
- Vehicle movements and visitor access.
- Contractor attendance and daily occurrence logs.
- Detecting and reporting suspicious behaviour, security breaches, and operational concerns immediately.
- Enforcing access control procedures in line with site requirements and security protocols.
- Compliance with company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and management plans.
- Flexible deployment across multiple locations, adapting to operational demands.
- Delivering exceptional customer service, fostering positive relations with clients, visitors, contractors, and colleagues.
- Presenting a professional image as a representative of OCS and the client.

Person Specification
Essential
- Legal eligibility: Right to work in the UK with clearance for BS7858 vetting.
- Valid SIA Licence (Security Industry Authority).
- Excellent computer literacy, including operation of security systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all organisational levels.
- High attention to detail, along with the agility to remain alert in dynamic environments.
- Professional standards: Confident personal presentation and a keen eye for detail.
Desirable
- Previous security industry experience.
- Experience using CCTV and access control systems.
- Ability to thrive in a multi-site working environment, adapting quickly to different shifts and locations.
