Bookkeeper
Part-Time Bookkeeper – E-Commerce Business (Hybrid)
Location: Renfrewshire Salary: £15–£18 per hour (DOE) Working Pattern: 3 days per week (hybrid: 1 day office-based, 2 days remote)
About the Opportunity
We are pleased to announce a new Bookkeeper role in partnership with our client—a rapidly growing e-commerce business undergoing strategic expansion.
This is an immersive opportunity for a proactive Finance professional to support the Finance Controller in a dynamic, collaborative environment where initiative and process improvement are valued. The role offers autonomy, flexibility, and impact, with the chance to influence financial systems and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions (e.g., sales, purchases, receipts, payments) using Xero.
- Maintain and update the general ledger and reconcile bank statements.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely invoice processing.
- Assist with payroll processes, including timesheet management and coordination with an external provider.
- Contribute to financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense analysis.
- Handle shipping and payment documentation, including international transactions.
- Provide general administrative support as required.

About You
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related finance role.
- Essential knowledge of Xero and a strong grasp of accounting principles.
- Exceptionally organised, with sharp attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Working Arrangements
The role operates on a hybrid basis, requiring one day in-office (preferably Mondays for Finance Controller collaboration) and two remote days. The remaining workflow benefits from flexibility in scheduling hours (e.g., 8am–4pm or 9am–5pm).
