Category Executive PC
Category Management Executive – Deoš & Male Toiletries (Asda & Morrisons)
Location: Kingston
Job Purpose
An externally facing role focused on building collaborative relationships with UK retailers to drive long-term, sustainable category growth. You will support the Senior Category Manager in developing joint category plans and strategies that deliver shared value for retailers (Asda, Morrisons) and Unilever.
Responsible for Asda and Morrisons, your role includes:
- Influencing retailers through shopper insights
- Providing range assortment, merchandising, price, and promotional recommendations
- Strengthening strategic partnerships for mutual growth
Responsibilities
The role requires you to:
- Build independent, trusted relationships with buyers and merchandisers at key retailers
- Analyse and interpret customer/shopper data to pinpoint opportunities and risks
- Generate actionable category insights to inform strategies
- Recommend optimal(range) assortments with robust, justified proposals
- Produce ad hoc reports and analyses as required
- Collaborate internally with BU teams to deliver insights and impact external planning
- Provide expert counsel when needed for high-level strategy

Essential Skills
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building
- Strong analytical rigor and questioning approach
- Proficient in Excel and adept at leveraging CoPilot for data analysis
- Effective storytelling to drive influence
- Adaptability to manage conflicting priorities and shifting demands
Bonus Experience
- Familiarity with category management tools (e.g., Nielsen, Numerator by Worldpanel)
- Relevant experience in FINA, retail merchandising, or adult male grooming markets would be advantageous
Location
Unilever’s new sustainable campus in Kingston will house its previously dispersed teams from:
- 100 Victoria Embankment
- Lever House (Kingston)
- Unilever House (Leatherhead)
- Graze
The final campus is scheduled for completion in early 2025 and will feature:
- Two interconnected buildings
