Child Exploitation Intervention Worker

£34,434 to £35,412 per annum | 37 hours per week | Permanent | Cumberland Wide

Role Summary

The Cumberland Youth Connect Team is seeking a Child Exploitation Intervention Worker to provide targeted interventions, support, and safeguarding efforts for children and young people at risk of or affected by exploitation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering early intervention strategies to support vulnerable young people exit exploitation
  • Leading planning and coordination of interventions for at-risk individuals
  • Conducting return home interviews following absences of children at risk
  • Collaborating with multi-agency teams to enhance collective safeguarding knowledge
  • Conducting intelligence gathering to identify perpetrators while maintaining a therapeutic relationship with young people
  • Supporting families and individuals affected by exploitation

The role requires: ✔ Working knowledge of Early Help and Children’s Social Care ✔ Ability to submit safeguarding referrals as necessary ✔ Proactive, compassionate, and independent travel across Cumberland, including rural areas
