About Us

We are Forestry England, where forests are our passion. Through powerful storytelling and clear communications, we make the nation’s forests accessible, inclusive, and meaningful for all.

We connect people with nature by telling compelling stories that inspire visits, foster understanding, and highlight the wellness benefits of forests—spaces for exploration, connection, reflection, and belonging.

Joining us means becoming part of a passionate, multidisciplinary team dedicated to shaping places that matter—today and for generations.

About the Role

A fixed-term opportunity to drive communications and public engagement for a high-visibility national programme: the creation and installation of COVID-19 commemorative forest features—spaces for reflection, remembrance, and recognition. These features honour those lost, address societal impacts, and ensure their voices are shared with compassionate sensitivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all communications for the programme, including:
    • Media relations and stakeholder/community engagement.
    • Managing public-facing campaigns, content creation (videos, articles, social media), and digital engagement.
    • Collaborating with district and national teams across England.
  • Oversee hospitality, exhibitions, and promotional events tied to the features.
  • Foster accessibility, inclusivity, and long-term legacy for the programme.
  • Support compassionate engagement with individuals affected by loss, ensuring dignity, respect, and careful storytelling.
  • Align communications with the programme’s strategic objectives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
