Cybersecurity and Technology Controls – JPMorgan Chase
As a Digital Forensics Senior Associate in the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls line of business, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding JPMorgan Chase’s digital assets. With advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, you will be responsible for collecting, preserving, and analysing digital evidence to detect, respond to, and mitigate cybersecurity threats.
Your expertise in digital forensics, cybersecurity operations, and threat intelligence will enable you to:
- Support internal investigations and cybersecurity-related matters.
- Identify vulnerabilities and recommend strategic risk-reduction measures.
- Stay ahead of emerging threats through forensic research and development.
- Maintain a secure digital environment for the firm.
Responsibilities
- Utilise digital forensic tools to support internal investigations and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Conduct detailed root cause analyses of potential breaches and provide comprehensive impact assessments.
- Generate comprehensive investigation reports and aid in developing in-house forensic training programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Technology, HR) to support incident response and regulatory compliance.
- Innovate and lead forensic research projects to anticipate and counter emerging threats.
- Perform in-depth digital forensic investigations to gather, preserve, and analyse evidence from multiple sources.
- Partner with cybersecurity operations teams to identify vulnerabilities, enhance security measures, and mitigate risks proactively.
- Conduct top-tier assessments of JPMorgan Chase’s digital forensics risk and control environment, identifying gaps, deficiencies, and weaknesses.
- Contribute to remediation plans and improve forensic techniques across the organisation.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in digital forensics, cybersecurity operations, or a related field, with a focus on:
- Digital forensics
- Incident response
- Malware analysis
- Deep understanding of forensic tools and their methodologies, with the ability to explain results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in industry-standard forensic best practices and methodologies.
- Experience with key forensic tools, including:
- X-Ways
- Voléxity Surge
- EnCase
- Volatility
- Wireshark
- Outstanding communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Scripting proficiency in languages such as Python, Bash, JavaScript, or PowerShell for automation and data analysis.
- Ability to analyse digital artifacts, network traffic, and logs to detect malicious activity or behavioural anomalies.
- Developing expertise in e-discovery, incident response, and threat intelligence.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills
- Experience working with cloud platform data (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Expertise in memory forensics.
- Certifications (e.g., GCFA, GNFA, GCIH).
- Enhanced skills in automating forensic tasks using Python, Bash/ZSH, or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience in malware reverse engineering.
