About the Role
A hands-on field-based role focusing on repairing our parcel lockers on client sites. Key tasks include:
- Break-fix and maintenance
- Software configuration
- Quality control
- Providing technical support and training to employees and subcontractors Active involvement in developing new solutions and maintaining technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Diagnosing and repairing faults and malfunctions of parcel locker machines (APMs) on-site, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Maintenance and modernisation of parcel locker machines, including implementing hardware and software upgrades to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Diagnostics, reconfiguration, and installation of computer software or firmware for computer, electronic, and electromechanical equipment, ensuring compatibility and security compliance.
- Processing and reporting on assigned repairs using standard internal communication channels.
- Managing tools and components for parcel locker machines.
- Handling administrative systems for personnel-related tracking.
- Conducting quality control of work performed by internal employees and subcontractors (ensuring adherence to technical standards, contractual agreements, and company guidelines).
- Providing technical and substantive support to employees and subcontractors (including international ones) via company communication channels.
- Participating in solution development for new types of parcel locker machines.
- Preparing and updating technical manuals and documentation.

Note: This role requires occasional training & visits to the Hemel Hempstead office. Candidates must be located near or within the (North Wales/Chester) area to cover that patch.
Working hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, enforcing a 40-hour work week.
Requirements
Core Qualifications
We’re looking for drive, curiosity, and people who thrive in fast-paced environments. Key expectations include:
- Experience in a Field Service Technical Engineering role focusing on electrical/mechanical equipment.
- Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic tools like a multi-meter.
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing equipment, including software configuration and firmware updates.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving technical issues.
Soft Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication (with ability for technical training).
- Ability to manage tasks efficiently, ensuring quality and meeting deadlines across multi-market operations.
- High accuracy in quality control and documentation.
- Experience working in diverse teams, including international subcontractors and internal staff.

- Parcel locker or similar system familiarity helpful.
