Compensation & Contract
- Pay: £17.91 per hour + £2.72/hour night-rate premium (18:00–06:00) + enhanced overtime rates
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Shift Pattern:
- Monday–Tuesday: 18:45 – 05:00
- Wednesday–Friday: 16:15 – 05:00 (Note: Slight variations may occur, typically within ±1 hour of scheduled times.)

Job Description: What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be a crucial pillar in our national transport operations, managing bulk collections and deliveries between DPD sites and major customers. Your role is both logistically vital and client-facing.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Nationwide Collections & Deliveries: Focused on LGV-friendly locations to ensure efficiency.
- Logistics Coordination:
- Oversee trailer swaps.
- Manage live loading/unloading to keep the entire network flowing smoothly.
- Tech & Compliance Management:
- Utilise GPS tracking to optimise routes.
- Ensure 100% compliance with digital tachographs and all regulations.
- Customer & Stakeholder Relations:
- Maintain professional interactions with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers.
- Represent DPD with resourcefulness and reliability.
- Safety & Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct thorough pre-shift vehicle inspections.
- Prioritise safe and precise driving in all conditions.
Requirements: What You’ll Bring

Essential Qualifications
- UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence (validated).
- CPC Card in possession.
- Digital Tachograph Operating Card.
- At least 12 months’ experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
