A full-time branch-based opportunity working 35 hours per week.


Job Title

Customer Support Location

  • Belfast – working across our Halifax branches within a reasonable distance.

Hours:

  • Full-time, 35 hours per week, including Saturdays Salary: £26,200 (rising to £26,950 after 6 months)

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Start in a branch, providing face-to-face customer support.

  • Handle everyday banking tasks but focus on helping customers through key life moments such as:

    • Supporting someone through bereavement.
    • Resolving fraud concerns.
    • Assisting vulnerable customers.
    • Building confidence with digital banking.
  • Adapt to different customer needs, promote digital services, and assist customers in using online and mobile banking.

  • Spot opportunities to connect customers with the right products/services.

  • We train you—this isn’t about prior banking knowledge, but remaining calm, flexible, and empathetic under pressure.

  • Potential progression opportunities:

    • Supporting customers via phone, online, web chat, video, or social media.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 12 months in customer service.
  • People-focused attributes:
    • Honest and genuine with a genuine care for helping people manage their finances.
    • Quickly build relationships for outstanding customer experiences.
    • Empathetic, care-driven, and integrity-based—prioritise resolving queries and building customer trust.
