Members Experience Supervisor & Digital Content Lead

Members Experience Supervisor – The Auction Rooms, Edinburgh

Salary £28,500 per annum

Hours Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Working pattern Rotational rota across 7:00am–3:00pm and 11:00am–7:00pm

Location The Auction Rooms, 22 Queen Street, Edinburgh

Reports to General Manager


About the Role We are seeking an ambitious Members Experience Supervisor to help lead the day-to-day operation of The Auction Rooms, shape our member community, and take ownership of our marketing and communications activity. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys service, people, content creation, brand-building, and commercial growth.

Ideal candidates will have prior professional experience in marketing, social media, communications, or a previous marketing-adjacent role. Training will be provided, but we are looking for someone with genuine interest, proactivity, and confidence in:

  • creating content
  • managing social media
  • developing a distinctive brand voice

What You Will Lead

  • Senior point of contact for members, guests, suppliers, and staff, ensuring a polished, welcoming and solutions-focused experience.
  • Lead day-to-day front-of-house standards, support the Community Assistant, and set five-star service benchmarks across reception, meeting rooms, and shared spaces.
  • Oversee marketing activity, including:
    • social media planning and posting
    • website updates and basic SEO maintenance
    • blog posts
    • newsletters
    • member communications
    • event promotion and content creation
  • Develop creative, brand-aligned content that reflects:
    • The Auction Rooms’ heritage, member community
    • local partnerships
    • events and hospitality
    • wider MOTA vision
  • Support the General Manager with:
    • sales enquiries
    • tours
    • bespoke proposals
    • renewals
    • member feedback and service improvement projects
  • Curate and execute member events, wellness activities, and community moments tailored to a premium workspace client base.
  • Act as Duty Manager and keyholder when required, responsible for:
    • site oversight
    • team standards
    • operational issues
    • escalations in the General Manager’s absence
  • Ensure compliance with facilities, safety, and health standards by:
    • coordinating contractors
    • managing emergency procedures
    • supporting evacuations
  • Self-manage workload with:
    • clear task lists
    • proactive updates
    • solution-focused communications

About You

  • Experience or studies in marketing, social media, content creation, or a related field (training provided).
  • Confident collaborator who enjoys writing polished communications like:
    • social media posts
    • website copy
    • blog content
  • Understands that luxury service excellence requires:
    • attention to detail
    • brand consistency
    • proactive problem-solving
  • Commercially aware with an interest in flexible workspaces, property, hospitality, or member experiences.
  • Organised and practical, adept at balancing:
    • front-of-house responsibilities
    • marketing projects
    • deadlines and follow-through
  • Willing to supervise staff, uphold service standards, and enact Duty Manager responsibilities.
  • Career-driven, open to learning, and excited by potential progression, including:
    • site management
    • team leadership
    • broader operational roles
