Position Overview

  • Role Title: Supervisor Nights (Part-Time) – 40 hours per week
  • Pay:
    • Standard Rate: £13.53 – £14.53 per hour
    • Night Rate: £14.53 per hour (23:00–06:00)
  • Location: Trowbridge, UK
  • Industry: Gaming, Retail, Hospitality

  • Over 230 Adult Gaming Centres (under MERKUR Slots)
  • Multiple high-street bingo venues
  • High-end MERKUR Casino venues (e.g., Aberdeen)

The Role: Key Responsibilities

Core Duties:

  • Support & Mentorship: Mentor team members, ensure morale and productivity, and help achieve targets.
  • Venue Management: Assist with opening, trading, and closure of the venue under the venue manager’s supervision.
  • Service Standard: Uphold customer service excellence and maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Revenue & Marketing: Implement marketing/promotional activities to boost venue income.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Oversee cash collections and adherence to security protocols.
    • Conduct random checks of floats, keys, and employee conduct where necessary.
  • Housekeeping & Standards: Regularly inspect and maintain interior/exterior standards and ensure compliance with housekeeping principles.
  • Employee Wellbeing: Address workplace concerns, maintain a positive working environment, and foster team cohesion.
  • Safeguarding & Social Responsibility: Actively promote antisocial policies, including prohibiting discrimination, harassment, bullying, and victimisation (based on race, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion/ belief, or any protected attribute).
  • Administrative Tasks: Ensure timely and accurate completion of daily/weekly administrative duties.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Leadership – Proven experience in a supervisory or management role (preferably in gaming, retail, hospitality, or customer-facing industries).
  • Customer Service – Outstanding ability to deliver first-class service and enhance customer loyalty.
  • Communication & Diplomacy – Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Teams & Collaboration – Must work independently and as part of a team with flexibility & adaptability.
  • Attention to Detail – Keen observational skills to uphold venue standards and procedural compliance.
  • Numeracy – Comfortable with financial handling (cash management) and accountability for venue revenue.
  • night operation knowledge – Adaptability to day/night shift availability (critical for a 24-hour venue).
