Online Assistant
Working in our stores
Our stores are fast-paced environments where no two days are ever the same. They are at the heart of the local community, providing outstanding value, quality and great service. As one of our Online Assistants, you’ll be the special ingredient that supports a joyful shopping experience for our online customers, ensuring they get everything they purchase at Sainsbury’s.
Eligibility
- Must be above the school-leaver age in your country (Government info)
- If shifts include hours earlier than 6am or later than 11pm, must be at least 18 years old
- Must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and select high-quality ordered products for delivery—providing brilliant substitutions when items are unavailable
- Navigate the store efficiently using digital route-planning tools to pick orders within deadlines
- Support behind the scenes by handling customer queries, processing orders, and loading delivery vans
- Offer excellent customer service, proactively resolving questions and enhancing the shopping experience
- Develop deep product knowledge to recommend services and special deals
- Work flexibly across the store as needed, adapting to shift demands
