🔍 About the Role

A leading international tech consultant is seeking a talented and motivated Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Databricks & Azure cloud technologies to join their growing team.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines, integrating diverse data sources, and supporting the development of scalable data architectures. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone passionate about data engineering and eager to work with modern cloud solutions.


� Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure services, with a focus on Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes leveraging Notebooks to ensure efficient data movement and transformation
  • Collaborate with data analysts and business intelligence teams to develop and maintain:
    • Power BI semantic models
    • Data reports & dashboards
  • Integrate various data sources into Azure environments for seamless data access and analysis
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of Azure solutions, enhancing data flows and connectivity
  • Ensure data pipelines are:
    • Highly available
    • Scalable
    • Secure, adhering to Azure best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data engineering projects

✅ Requirements & Skills

Mandatory

✔ Proven experience as a Data Engineer (or similar role) with deep expertise in Azure cloud services ✔ Hands-on experience with:

  • Azure Data Lake
  • Azure Databricks

✔ Proficiency in:

  • Designing & managing ETL processes using SQL & Notebooks
  • Working with B GCC for semantic model creation & report development

✔ Familiarity with integrating multiple data sources into Azure environments ✔ Basic understanding of Azure networking concepts for data engineering ✔ Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred

✦ Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), especially:

  • Terraform (familiarity helpful but not mandatory) ✦ In-depth knowledge of data governance & security best practices in cloud environments ✦ Working background in a DevOps setting, including CI/CD pipelines
