Quality Assurance Test Analyst

Grade: Higher Executive Officer (HEO)

Locations: Newport & Titchfield

Salary: £34,587 - £39,106 per annum

About the Role

  • Identify and manage defects, delivering reliable, high-quality outcomes that make a real difference.

Responsibilities and Duties

We are seeking three Quality Assurance Test Analysts to join our Digital Service Directorate in defining quality processes.

Key tasks include:

  • Designing comprehensive test conditions, test cases, and test scripts to evaluate system functionality and ensure adherence to required quality standards.
  • Applying analytical skills, domain knowledge, and business acumen to identify defects within systems and manage defects throughout projects.
  • Creating quality metrics to inform stakeholders’ Go/No-Go decisions.

The QAT team will also:

  • Develop and execute broad risk-based test plans, focusing on system integration, service functionality, and end-to-end process readiness.
  • Collaborate with development teams, third parties, operations teams, and business areas to coordinate, manage, and facilitate testing, along with interdependencies.
  • Implement the test strategy, analysing and defining testing approaches, conditions, and cases.
  • Execute tests independently to derive meaningful insights and resolve reported defects.
