Receptionist and Business Support Officer (Permanent, Part-Time)
Salary: £25,375 (FTE £29,605) Location: London Diocesan House, Causton Street Hours: 30 per week (across 4 days, with Friday as a mandatory working day) Closing Date: 12 July 2026 Interview Date: 27 July 2026
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key front-facing role at the heart of the London Diocesan Fund, helping to create a warm, professional welcome for staff, visitors, and partners. As Receptionist and Business Support Officer, you will combine reception services, office support, and finance administration, contributing to an efficient, safe, and welcoming workplace that supports the wider mission and values of the Diocese of London.
Job Summary
Through exceptional service, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, the postholder will:
- Act as the professional first point of contact for staff, visitors, contractors, and members of the public.
- Support building access arrangements, reception resources, mail handling, room bookings, and meeting room preparation.
- Manage day-to-day office supplies and escalate maintenance issues as required.
- Provide administrative support for health and safety processes, including:
- Lone working arrangements
- First aid coordination
- Fire marshal duties
- Contribute to finance operations through:
- Invoice processing
- Supplier statement reconciliation
- Payment query resolution
- Accurate record-keeping
- Ensure a safe, organised and welcoming environment that enhances effective service delivery across the London Diocesan Fund (LDF).

- Empathy with the mission and values of the Diocese of London.
- Administrative experience, preferably in a customer-facing or office support role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel (advanced numeracy skills preferred).
- Strong attention to detail in data management and record-keeping.
- Customer service experience (in-person, telephone, and written communication).
- Right to work in the UK.
