Relief Support Worker – Newton Aycliffe, Durham
Salary & Pay Structure
- £12.85 per hour plus rolled-up holiday pay
About the Role
We are seeking a Relief Support Worker to join our welcoming team in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. Our supported living service helps individuals with:
- Learning disabilities
- Complex needs
- Mental health needs
- Autism

Key Responsibilities
- Provide respectful, high-quality personal care and practical/emotional support to service users.
- Assist with cooking, cleaning, housework, and life skills development.
- Engage service users in varied activities (housed and community-based) to make meaningful connections.
- Manage behavioural support in a constructive manner.
- Maintain admin duties, housing management, and relationship-building with service users.
- Ensure every day is unique and engaging—this role demands hands-on adaptability.

Candidate Requirements
- Essential: At least 12 months of care experience.
- A valid, clean driving licence is a prerequisite (UK).
