We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior MRI Radiographer to join our diagnostic imaging team at Practice Plus Group Diagnostics, Buckinghamshire.
This is a fantastic part-time opportunity (26.25 hours per week) to work within a modern, patient-focused imaging service, delivering high-quality MRI scans while being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care, while maintaining the highest professional standards.
Shift Pattern
- Monday: 08:00 – 19:00
- Thursday: 08:00 – 19:00
- Every other Sunday: 08:00 – 19:00
Our Radiology service is located within a purpose-built Diagnostics Centre in the market town of High Wycombe (Buckinghamshire)—conveniently close to the M40, with excellent train links to Oxford and London.

- The MRI suite has recently undergone exciting change, featuring a state-of-the-art Siemens 1.5T Altera to complement our existing Siemens Avanto.
- The department also offers X-ray, Ultrasound, and Echocardiograms.
- A local MSK and Physiotherapy service is co-located, enabling seamless collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior MRI Radiographer, your duties will include:
- Delivering a high standard of MRI imaging practice, prioritising safe and effective patient care at all times.
- Conducting a wide range of MRI examinations, adapting techniques to meet individual patient needs.
- Clinically justifying imaging referrals and validating reports in line with established protocols.
- Working both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to manage workload effectively.
- Communicating clearly with patients, relatives, and colleagues to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring correct data entry across radiology systems.
- Upholding high standards of infection control, safety, and cleanliness in clinical areas.
- Participating in clinical governance, audit, and quality assurance activities.
- Ensuring CPD (Continuous Professional Development) and maintaining HCPC registration compliantly.
Specific Requirements
To excel in this role, you must have:
- BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent qualification).
- HCPC registration as a Radiographer.
- Extensive experience in MRI imaging across a range of techniques.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with a strong patient-centred approach.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate clinical records.
- A comprehensive understanding of clinical governance, quality assurance, and patient safety principles.
- A flexible, proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous professional development.

What We Offer
- A full-time equivalent salary up to £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
- Part-time hours (26.25 per week) with the schedule outlined above.
- 25 days holiday, increasing with service up to a maximum of 29 days + 8 bank holidays.
- Mandatory training through an excellent in-house education programme.
