SGRE Internal Inspections and Blade Repair Technicians for U.S.A Projects
Blade Repair Technician – Onshore Wind Farms (US-wide Travel)
GEV Wind Power is seeking experienced Blade Repair Technicians to support internal blade inspections and composite repair projects on SGRE wind turbines at onshore wind farms throughout the United States. This role requires extensive travel but offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and workmanship.

Job Responsibilities
Core Tasks:
- Travel 100% via air or truck to wind farms across the U.S., following a rotational schedule.
- Perform composite blade repairs (both up-tower via platforms/rope access and occasionally on the ground), including:
- Epoxy and polyester resin wet layup
- Vacuum infusion
- Repairs using balsa and foam sandwich materials
- Structural blade repairs
- Complete daily progress reports, QA/QC documentation, and onsite stock checks.
- Collaborate with site leads and project coordinators as necessary.
Requirements & Qualifications
Essential Experience & Skills
- 2+ years of composite repair experience.
- Experience with platform and/or rope access.
- Knowledge of fiberglass reinforcement and structural repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using powered hand tools with good finger dexterity.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and repair specifications.
- IT literacy ( email/iPad usage or equivalent online platforms).
- Strong teamwork skills, adaptability, and ability to follow guidance while providing leadership when needed.
- Physically capable of:
- Climbing ladders/scaffolding
- Working in bent, stooping, or crawling positions
- Lifting up to 75 pounds frequently
- Ability to wear a respirator and operate safely with protective equipment.
- Sharp vision (corrective lenses allowed) for detailed inspections and equipment operation.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR report and be 21+.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (citizenship/legal work authorization required).
- Must pass a criminal background check and maintain a drug-free status.

Mandatory Certifications
✅ GWO training:
- BST (Basic Safety - fire awareness, heights, manual handling, first aid)
- ART (Advanced Rescue - Nacelle/Hub)
- Slinger/Signal Ladder/Hand signs (GWO SJSG or Siemens Rigging Safety)
- Blade Repair (or Advanced Blade Repair) – GWO
- Spot Paint certification
