We’re recruiting a [Shift Manager] to join our team as a Retail Assistant, with the added responsibility of driving store performance. In return, you’ll receive a £2/hour supplement for leading your shift.
About the Role
As our [Shift Manager], you’ll be the दिनचर्या growth of the shop—ensuring profitability, creating a positive and inclusive environment, and delegating with confidence. You’ll start by supporting the management team before taking on key operational leadership, all while contributing to store success.

Key Responsibilities
Maximise Profit
- Drive sales success: Focus on delivering "one pound to spend, one pound to save"—helping customers get extra value while boosting margins.
- Hit targets: Fully execute all agreed strategies and action points set by your line manager.
- Improve availability: Ensure stock is visible and accessible, with minimal out-of-stocks.
Engage, Develop & Retain Great People
- Empower your team: Actively support the [Talking Shop Rep] to promote meaningful communication.
- Foster engagement: Promote a positive culture where every team member feels valued and motivated.
- Invest in growth: Proactively seek opportunities for both your own development and that of your colleagues—sharing your knowledge to up-skill the team.

Requirements
We’re looking for a retail professional with sharp management instincts, persuasive people skills, and minimal bite. To join us as Shift Manager, you’ll need:
- Proven administrative or supervisory experience in retail—demonstrating strong performance management and balance in decision-making.
- Expert communicator: Can delegate effectively, write clear directions, and listen actively to team needs.
- Mindful organiser: Plan shifts efficiently, leveraging every skill the team brings.
- Master of positive feedback: Give and take constructive feedback that motivates, corrects, and improves.
- Hands-on leader: Set the pace by actively assisting the team—showing enthusiasm and a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude.
