Position: Join our Clinical Negligence Team as a Grade C Solicitor (or equivalent)
Are you an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor ready for career advancement? We are seeking a Newly Qualified (NQ) – Grade C solicitor (or equivalent) to join our dynamic and collaborative team, leveraging your expertise to make a meaningful difference.
About the Team
With a strong reputation in clinical negligence, our team includes professionals with APIL, AvMA, and Law Society accreditations, ensuring we deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.
As a Grade C Solicitor in our Clinical Negligence team, you’ll:
- Play a crucial role in supporting lawyers and senior lawyers in managing cases from inception through to trial.
- Work under supervision in adherence to company policies and legal standards.
- Take on delegated tasks, assist in settling cases, and contribute to the team’s success.
- Lead by mentoring and coaching more junior team members.
Join a large, busy team of clinical negligence experts handling pre- and post-litigation cases in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Accountable For
- Managing an individual caseload
- Supporting, guiding, and assisting the team to deliver exceptional client service
- Contributing to proactive commercial case management and progression
- Supporting the Team Leader/Head of Department to meet team financial and performance KPIs
- Ensuring effective and thorough time recording
Responsible For
- Discussing and agreeing case tactics and planning with the Team Leader and team members
- Identifying and progressing cases suitable for LOC, settlement, and service
- Collecting and collating all necessary case information to support case progression
- Working proactively for caseload management in a commercial way
- Co-ordinating the progression of all internal and external case details
- Drafting of key legal documentation (LOC, letters of instruction)
- Negotiating settlements, issuing proceedings if required
- Litigating claims where necessary
- Overseeing team documentation and correspondence
- Advising the team on technical issues (with support from the Team Leader/Head of Department)
Candidate Requirements
- Recent experience managing a caseload
- 0–5 years Qualification Experience (PQE) or equivalent in Clinical Negligence
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and drafting skills
- Fluent with IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office, proclaim, and Excel
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong commercial awareness in legal environments
- Capacity to coach and mentor junior team members
- Flexible commitment to meeting deadlines
- Excellent client care skills
