Department: Store Reporting to: Assistant Store Manager Contract type: Permanent, 40 hours per week (weekend and evenings for events will be required) Location: Cadogan Place, Chelsea, London

Role Overview

Provide exceptional in-store customer service, deliver confident styling advice, and achieve sales KPIs—building a personalised client base while embodying The Fold’s brand values.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service & Sales KPIs

  • Confidently engage with customers on the shop floor and conduct one-to-one styling appointments.
  • Demonstrates strong selling techniques to drive sales and meet store KPIs.
  • Uses deep brand knowledge to craft bespoke outfits and style client preferences.
  • Oversees the alteration process (training will be provided).
  • Act as a vocal and passionate Fold brand ambassador.

2. Client Relationships

  • Build and maintain a personal client base by managing relationships and preferences.
  • Schedule follow-ups via appointment book and tailored communications.
  • Engage in in-store and brand events regularly.
  • Support customer communications through the store’s WhatsApp channel.

3. General Store Operations

  • Maintain high standards of presentation on the shop floor and in storage.
  • Complete opening/closing checklists daily.
  • Assist with visual merchandising (VM) updates for monthly new drops.
  • Manage weekly stock deliveries (3PL to shop floor).
  • Support stock checks and cycle counts for accuracy.

About You

We’re looking for candidates who bring:

  • Prior retail sales experience in a boutique, styling, or customer-facing role.
  • A deep understanding of high-end sales strategies, customer behaviour, and premium brands.
  • Enthusiasm for luxury styling and building long-term client relationships.
  • Energy, proactive motivation, and a commitment to working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Commercially astute mindset, with an appreciation for retail KPIs and back-of-house aspects, such as administrative tasks.
