Job Summary
Remote but travel to Watford HQ Salary Range: £36,224 – £38,130 Flexible working options available.
Role Overview
This is a dual role within a market-leading organisation. Reporting to [Manager Name], the Business Development Executive will:
- Lead the complete sale cycle for the Salary Sacrifice Car Scheme within SMEs (up to 500 employees).
- Develop warm leads and inbound enquiries while acting as a key resource for the field sales team, expanding on core product offerings.
- Provide proactive, high-level support to employee benefit providers, ensuring timely responses to strengthen commercial partnerships and generate referrals.
- Oversee the entire multi-stage sales process, including presentations, proposals, tenders, and client submissions.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Partner Engagement
- Manage new business presentations (telephone, webinars, and occasional face-to-face meetings).
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients right up to Director-level working relations.
- Be the first point of contact for SME enquiries, tender submissions, and employee benefit providers.
Sales & Implementation
- Lead Webex meetings and occasional site visits with prospective clients.
- Develop project plans for scheme implementation and actively manage the rollout for SME customers.
- Raise and liaison over contractual agreements internally and externally.
- Set up internal systems based on customised customer requirements.

Relationship & Knowledge Development
- Deepen understanding of employee tax legislation, car policies, and procedures to explain clearly across seniority levels.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external departments for seamless customer service excellence.

Requirements
Essential
✔ Highly organised, meticulous attention to detail. ✔ Experience in sales and enquiry management (cannot be in leasing/fleet—see below). ✔ Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) and call handling. ✔ Ability to negotiate, prioritise, and meet targets independently. ✔ Confident PC skills (Microsoft Word & Excel proficiency) and basic data handling ability. ✔ Either GCSE grades C+ in English Maths or equivalent.
Preferable (Not Mandatory)
✔ Previous exposure to:
- Leasing/fleet management,
- Automobile product knowledge,
- Employee benefit schemes.
